Amy and Alex's Wedding at The Reading Room, Norfolk

After almost a month of back-to-back weddings in London, it was so lovely to get back to Norfolk for Amy & Alex’s wedding, especially as they were tying the knot at one of my favourite venues: The Reading Room.

Amy and Alex’s wedding took place towards the end of October, as the days began to get shorter and the weather became chillier. The day started with Amy and her girls getting ready with the help of Emma Bird on makeup and Emma Kim Horsley on hair. Up in the bedroom, Amy’s gorgeous bridal details were laid out ready for me to photograph, including some stunning Louboutin shoes and her beautiful Stella Yorke gown. Five minutes down the road, my second shooter Cheryl Anne Photography was with Alex as he and his parents and groomsmen put the finishing touches on their outfits.

It wasn’t long before we were heading to The Reading Room, and then it was time for their emotional ceremony. The hall was full of smiling faces and happy tears as the two said their vows and exchanged rings. Confetti and group photos followed soon after, and then the couple and their guests were back inside for speeches and their sit-down meal. By the time everyone was done eating, it was already dark outside, so I snuck Amy and Alex away for a few more couple portraits using a tunnel of fairy lights as a backdrop. Shortly afterwards, the two cut their beautiful cake by Sugar Button Cakes and then it was time for their first dance. Their friends and families soon joined them on the floor, and everybody danced the night away.

I had a wonderful time at Amy and Alex’s wedding and absolutely loved being a part of their big day. With a classic white and green colour scheme, the most beautiful details, and an awesome set of guests, it was a joy to photograph their celebration. Congratulations, Amy & Alex!
