Jade and James' Wedding at Easton Grange, Suffolk

Jade and James’ wedding took place on one of the last days of the summer, as the nights began drawing in and the air got a little cooler.

The day began with Jade and her bride tribe getting ready in Easton Grange’s beautiful bridal suite, while James and the guys put the finishing touches on their outfits at Ufford Park Hotel. With the ever-amazing Michelle Bennett on makeup, it wasn’t long before the bridal party were ready, with Jade positively glowing in her gorgeous Stella York gown from George James Bridal.

In the ceremony room, the orchestra were ready in the balcony, as the couple’s friends and families gathered below. Jade walked down the aisle accompanied by her father, and then it was time for the ceremony. Jade and James said their vows to one another and exchanged rings, before sealing their marriage with a kiss.

After confetti outside, followed by a group shot and drinks and canapés, the sun was already beginning to set. I snuck the couple away for a few intimate portraits, and then we headed inside for the speeches and food. Being late summer, it didn’t take long for it to get pitch black outside, and we took full advantage of this with an amazing sparkler walk. Jade and James cut their cake, and then it was time for their first dance, during which even more confetti rained down from the ceiling.

Jade and James’ wedding was a beautiful, classic wedding filled with stunning details and the most wonderful guests. It was clear that they are truly made for each other, and their marriage brought so much joy to their families and friends. Congratulations, Jade and James!

As mentioned in my last blog post, I’ve been testing out hybrid shooting, i.e. photographing with both digital and analogue cameras. For Jade & James’ wedding at Easton Grange, I decided to shoot on black and white film as I knew it would be a very classic, traditional day. I shot using Kodak TMAX 400 on my Canon AE-1, and the best results can be seen below. There is definitely room for improvement, but I’m happy with how these turned out!
