Fennie and Nick's Wedding at The Fire Pit Camp, Norfolk

Fennie and Nick’s wedding was one I had been excited for all year. Not only did they choose one of my favourite Norfolk venues, The Fire Pit Camp, they were also an absolute pleasure to have as clients. After meeting them for their engagement shoot at Horsey Gap, I was looking forward to their big day even more – and it did not disappoint.

Their day began with Fennie and her lovely bridesmaids getting ready in the warehouse, as the finishing touches were made on the decorations around them. With the help of Keely McCarthy on makeup and Cara Hubbard on hair, they were soon ready to slip into their dresses. Fennie’s dress was a stunning Donna Salado gown with a detachable overskirt that looked simply stunning. After a few bridal party photos outside, it was time for Fennie to walk down the outdoor aisle.

Their ceremony was beautiful and emotional, and before long we were back outside the warehouse, in front of the iconic double-decker bus, for drinks and the musical stylings of Felix Simpson. Family and group photos soon followed, after which it was time for the speeches – which were easily some of the funniest I’ve photographed at a wedding. Back inside, their guests enjoyed the incredible grazing table that Fennie had sourced, and as plates were emptied I stole the couple away for some dusky portraits outside.

Upon our return, their evening entertainment, Bear Club, were set up and ready to perform. Fennie and Nick cut the cake and then went immediately into their first dance, ushering their friends and families to join them after a few minutes. The rest of the night was a blur of dancing, bright lights and pizza, before I headed home.

I had such a brilliant time photographing Fennie and Nick’s wedding at The Fire Pit Camp. With amazing decorations (everything but the draping and lights was done by Fennie herself), meticulous attention to detail, the most wonderful guests and of course, the warmth and humour of the couple themselves, it was a superb wedding filled with love and laughter. I couldn’t be happier for this amazing couple! Congratulations, Fennie & Nick!
